How It Happened
This interview was shaped entirely by my online community; following a social media vote, Ecoeggcame out on top as the brand people were most eager to see next. What started as Founder Dawn White’s search for relief from chemical skin sensitivity has since scaled into a planet-first movement, already eliminating over 102 million plastic bottles.
I initiated the collaborative social media post concept to bring our conversation to a wider audience. This project remains a favourite of mine as it demonstrates my ability to listen to my community’s interests and curate principled partnerships that provide genuine value.
I thoroughly loved exploring Ecoegg’s journey of transitioning from a private necessity to a global household staple.
“ I discovered that the fragrances used in skincare and laundry products contain the ingredients that flare up my sensitive conditions the most. The fragrances also often carry the ‘harmful to aquatic life’ labelling, so be sure to always check the labels!
I spent an equal amount of time developing suitable fragrances as I did developing the detergent formulation, as this was as important to me. The fragrances are as low
irritant and low allergen as possible, still leaving a mild, beautiful and fresh scent on fabrics.”
